The Foundation for Learning and Literacy is concerned with the role literacy plays in ensuring children become compassionate, confident, competent and creative citizens in an increasingly complex world.

As well as supporting teachers, early childhood educators and families, the Foundation has curated resources, research and commentary useful for educational policymakers, politicians, business leaders, publishers and the media.

Rigid, 'one-size-fits-all' mandates fail to meet the unique literacy needs of every child and young person. The Foundation has developed 12 Touchstones. These guiding principles are of interest to all stakeholders.
